  يناقش البحث الأهمية التي يحظى بها المجتمع المدني، انطلاقا من دوره في الدفاع عن حقوق الانسان، والوقوف في مواجهة الدولة في سبيل تحقيق العدالة والمساواة داخل المجتمع. وقد هدف البحث للتعريف بمفهوم المجتمع المدني، وتوضيح ماهية ومقومات الدولة المدنية، والوقوف على طبيعة العلاقة بين المجتمع المدني والدولة المدنية، والتعرف على ماهية حقوق الانسان ودور المجتمع المدني في تدعيم مبادئ الديمقراطية، والوقوف على التحديات التي تواجه مؤسسات المجتمع المدني في مجتمعات الصراع. ومن النتائج التي توصل لها البحث: أهمية الدور الذي يقوم به المجتمع المدني، خاصة مع تنامي الوعي المجتمعي المحلي والعالمي بما يمثله المجتمع المدني من ثقل سياسي في مواجهة الدولة، والاعتراف العالمي بالدور المحوري للمجتمع المدني في إعادة التوازن، وإلى عمق التحديات والمعيقات التي تقف أمام عمل المجتمع المدني والمخاطر التي يتعرض لها المجتمع المدني والتي تهدد العناصر الأساسية للديمقراطية، وسياسات الاحتواء، والاقصاء، والتهميش.

Abstract:

The research discusses the importance of civil society, based on its role in defending human rights and standing up to the State to achieve justice and equality within society. The aim of the research was to publicize the concept of civil society, clarify the nature and viability of the civilian State, identify the nature of the relationship between civil society and the civil State, identify what human rights are and civil society's role in upholding the principles of democracy, and identify the challenges facing civil society institutions in conflict societies. One of the research findings: the importance of civil society's role s political weight vis-à-vis the State, Global recognition of the central role of civil society in rebalancing, the depth of challenges and obstacles to civil society's work and the risks to civil society that threaten the fundamental elements of democracy, containment policies, exclusion and marginalization
